John Waite is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was a member of the rock band The Babys and the supergroup Bad English. From the late 70s to present day, John has been performing and writing songs that have earned him widespread success. After The Babys disbanded in 1981, John went on to pursue a solo career. He released his debut solo album Ignition in 1982 which included the hit single “Change”. This song reached #1 on the US Mainstream Rock chart, making it his first of many chart-topping hits as a solo artist. His next album No Brakes (1984) featured the hits “Missing You” (#1 US Mainstream Rock) and “Tears” (#2 US Mainstream Rock). John has released a total of 8 studio albums to date, with his latest being “Seein’ Is Believin'” (2020). In 1988, John joined the supergroup Bad English alongside members from Journey, The Babys and The Outfield. They released their debut album Bad English in 1989 featuring the hit singles “When I See You Smile” (#1 US Hot 100) and “Price of Love” (#3 US Mainstream Rock). In recent years John has continued to tour internationally as a solo artist and also as part of Ringo Starr’s All-Star Band. He has also collaborated with various other artists including Ringo Starr, Patty Smyth, Eric Clapton and Joe Walsh.
