Experience a musical journey starting with the Roaring 20s and the Frantic Charleston dance by the All About Dance team. Delight in the hot jazz and swing of the 30s, the iconic “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” from the 40s, and hits from “My Old Kentucky Home” to Grease, celebrating the 50s and the Rock ‘n’ Roll era, including classics from The Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, the Eagles, and current superstar Taylor Swift.
Under the direction of Dr. Sarah Herbert, the WKU Jazz Band consists of 16 students, offering a diverse musical experience that spans Big Band standards to contemporary styles, including Latin and Funk, while also providing opportunities for jazz improvisation.
The No Deposit Band is a high-energy classic rock dance band, formed in the summer of 1969 in Tompkinsville, KY. Influenced by the music of the Woodstock era, their repertoire includes artists like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jim Hendrix, and The Who. They’ve opened for notable acts such as Confederate Railroad and Lee Greenwood and were recognized as WBKO Hometown Heroes for their community service efforts.
