This place will have you in the Christmas spirit before you know it! There are Christmas lights everywhere. Throw on some Christmas music and drive through between 4:30 and 10:30 anytime through January 1st. It is free of charge but donations are accepted! They ask that you stay in your car, but the experience is truly magical. You’ll be in the Christmas spirit before you know it!

2. Visit the Glasgow City Creamery

While they are open year-round, Christmas time just hits different! They have lots of seasonal items that you have to try! They offer ice cream, coffee, and zinger drinks that will get you right into the Christmas spirit! Some holiday favorites to note would be
- Zinger: Raspberry + Vanilla
- Coffee: White Chocolate with Raspberry Cold Foam
- Frappe: Raspberry delight
- Milkshake: Raspberry Cheesecake
Although, they could have something different each time you go! You can even get a holiday flight (as shown below) and just try them all! We suggest you definitely try it out during the holiday season!
3. Catch a Christmas Show at the Plaza

Throughout the Christmas season, there are any number of Christmas shows happening at the downtown Plaza Theatre. This year some of our favorites were Silent Night by the Far off Broadway Players and Black Stone Cherry! Any show at the Plaza this time of year will leave you feeling festive and excited for the holiday season!
4. Catch the Nutcracker v. Mouse King Show by Soma – Center for Dance
➡️The show takes place in Glasgow High School Auditorium located at 1601 Columbia Avenue, Glasgow, KY 42141
Nothing puts you in the Christmas spirit quite like the Nutcracker. These dancers work so hard throughout the year to put on a wonderful show for everyone! This is a must add to all of your Christmas activities!

6. Come Meet Santa in our Office!

Every year Santa comes to our office to meet all of the Glasgow children! We want YOU to visit us and come see Santa! This year, it was on December 8th, so be on the lookout for our Santa dates and visit downtown while you are here for Santa!
7. Grab a Christmas Drink from Garcia’s Grill

Garcia’s Grill has all kinds of Christmas treats to try during the holidays! This year they highlighted a peppermint espresso martini that is perfect for a dinner out with the girls or a date night! Be sure to give their holiday drinks a try!
8. Don’t forget to come to our Downtown Christmas Parade!
➡️The parade starts at 1601 Columbia Avenue, Glasgow, KY and travels down Columbia Avenue until it reaches the downtown square. The parade will wrap all the way around the downtown square and will end at the South Green Street Save-A-Lot.
Did you know that Glasgow has the biggest nighttime parade in the state of Kentucky? This is an absolute must add to your calendar for the holiday season! This year our Christmas Parade was on December 2nd, but be sure to catch it next year, you do not want to miss it! Be on the lookout for dates next year so you can catch it!
9. Grab a Christmas treat from Sweetheart Bakery

This is one of our favorite things to do around the holiday season! Of course, you need a sweet treat during the holiday season and what better way than to #shoplocal at one of our local bakeries! Sweetheart Bakery has custom Christmas cookies of mugs, candy canes, snowflakes, christmas trees, and more! They also have some yummy macaroons with snowflakes and glitter! Not to mention they do custom cakes that can be any number of your favorite holiday traditions! Be sure to stop in and tell them we sent you!
10. Catch “A Royal Christmas Surprise” on BET filmed right here in Glasgow, KY!
Last but certainly not least, you can watch a Christmas movie! Not just any Christmas movie, but “A Royal Christmas Surprise,” filmed right here in Glasgow, KY! We hosted a premiere for the movie at our local movie theater, Marquee Cinemas! However, you can stream the movie anytime on BET Plus via Amazon! We recommend to cozy up, pop some popcorn, and watch all your Glasgow favorites come across the screen!
